In partnership with the TreadRight Foundation, you will visit the Iraq al-Amir Women’s Coopertive where you will see the power of sustainable development in action. As many as 150 women from surrounding villages have been trained by the cooperative, which produces and sells heritage handicrafts for the tourism industry. You will learn about the cooperative’s goal to become a sustainable business and the stories of the women who the cooperative continues to help become financially independent.
Day 1 - Arrive Amman, Jordan
A warm welcome awaits you at Queen Alia International Airport. Transfer to the luxurious The House Boutique Hotel.
The House is within walking distance of the hustle and bustle of exciting shopping streets.

Day 2 - Amman
Depart on a city tour of Amman, including a visit to Iraq al-Amir. The area has many springs and is famous for its olive trees.
Afterwards, visit the Iraq al-Amir Women’s Cooperative, one of our MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences, and learn how they make soap from Olive Oil and greeting cards from recycled paper and enjoy a meal prepared by the local women.
Continue to Jerash, known for the ruins of the walled Greco-Roman settlement of Gerasa just outside the modern city.

Day 3 - Amman/Petra
Drive to Mt. Nebo en route to Madaba. Mount Nebo is one of the most revered holy sites in Jordan and the place where Moses was buried.
Madaba is an ancient town, known for its 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, drive to Shoubak, located at one of the highest elevations above sea level in Jordan, famous for its apple and fruit farms.
Arrive in Petra in the late afternoon at the 5-star Mövenpick Petra Hotel.
This evening, witness Petra illuminated by the soft glow of 1,800 candles—it's a truly magical, out-of-this-world experience you won't want to miss. (Available Monday to Thursday).

Day 4 - Petra/Dead Sea
Visit the Red Rose City of Petra. The giant red mountains and vast mausoleums of a departed race have nothing in common with modern civilization. This is one of the greatest wonders ever formed by Nature and Man.
In the late afternoon, transfer to the Hilton Dead Sea Hotel, at the heart of the Jordan Valley.

Day 5 - Dead Sea/Depart
Transfer to the Queen Alia International Airport for your scheduled flight. (B)
